I am inspired by French post-impressionists and painters of the Group of Seven. I modernize the touch, vibrate the tones and bring my subjects to life. I am as comfortable working on the motif and en Plein Air as in my studio. My style is linked to a certain realism in its form but devoid of constraints in the method of creating. I seek the essence rather than the superficial, the impression on the spot rather than the reality. The figures, the animals, the forests, the fields, the flowers parade in turn under my impulse and inspiration where only instinct is sovereign.
